Public Locomotion commits 1%
of profits to independent research
in human movement.

Why Movement
Research
Matters

"As someone who has experienced his fair share of physical injuries, both self-inflicted and not, I've benefited greatly from the research many institutions around the world dedicate to understanding human movement. Much of that work informs how we think about product design at Public Locomotion.

"This pledge is our small way of giving back. Thanks for being on the journey with us."

— Michael Byrne, Founder

Human movement is fundamental to health, performance, and daily life. Supporting independent research helps expand our understanding of movement for everyone.

The research supported through this commitment is independent of Public Locomotion’s own product development.

These funds are intended to support a broader understanding of human movement, not research conducted for the purpose of developing or marketing our products.

Each year, we will publish
a record of the research
initiatives supported
through this commitment.

Because Public Locomotion is still in its first year, there are no contributions to report yet. As soon as the first contributions are made, they will be documented here.

If you are conducting research related to
human movement and believe it aligns with
our mission, we would welcome
hearing from you.
